The Name Nick Tarpein is synonymous with Karate and Martial Arts in the Quad City region.  No one in the area has trained more instructors and champions than Nick Tarpein.  Master Tarpein has trained national form (kata) champions, national fighting (kumite) champions, kick-boxing champions and also mixed martial artists.

Master Tarpein opened his first school in 1977.  His list of titles and accomplishments are proof of his on-going thirst to constantly improve his martial arts training.  Some training has taken Master Tarpein all over the globe, including the jungles of Thailand to learn Thai Boxing from the masters.  This dedication shows during class as most classes are lead by Master Tarpein himself.
